Different rat colors :

BLACK :
Fur : to be a deep black, the rat shall be devoid of white hairs or patches

BLACK EYED WHITE = BEW :
Other name : sometimes mistakingly called albino
Fur : to be as white as possible, the rat shall be devoid of creamy tinge or staining

ALBINO :
Other names : white, pink eyes white = PEW
Fur : the rat shall be devoid of creamy tinge or staining

AGOUTI :
Other names : wild colour, generically as brown
Fur : to be a real agouti, the rat shall be evenly ticked with black guard hairs
Base fur : dark grey to black
Eyes : black
Other information : This is the wild colour of rats. Most colours can have the agoutied gene added to them.

APRICOT :
LOther names : beige, blue-buff
Fur : the rat is almost orange, it's a kind of dark beige

BUFF :
Other name : beige ( US name )
Fur : the rat shouldn't have sign of dullness or greyness

Different rat marking :

DALMATIAN :
The Dalmatian rat has color splashes distributed over the entire body with no solid clear-cut markings on a white body.

HOODED :
Others names : hooded Japanese, Japanese Description : the hood shall be unbroken, covering the head, throat, chest and shoulders. The hood shall be continuous with the saddle, extending down the spine to the tail. The tail can be coloured.

CAPPED :
Description : the colour shall cover the head only and follow the line of the lower jaw bone, it shouldn't extend under the chin. The rest of the body is white.

SIAMESE :
Description : body colour is medium beige gradually and evenly shaded over saddle and hindquarters towards the belly, being darkness at the base of the tail. They shouldn't have white or very pale areas anywhere on the body, feet or tail.
Eyes : ruby

HIMALAYAN :
Description : body colour is white with points of dark sepia
Colours areas : face not extend upwards from eyes; ears not to extend downwards from the base; forelegs not to extend upwards beyond the elbows; hind legs not to extend upwards beyond the ankle
Eyes : red

HUSKY :
Description : the husky rat shall have as symmetrical markings as possible. The underside should be completely white.
Head : A wide inverted V shaped blaze, including the whisker bed, coming as close to the eyes as possible without touching the eyes, and coning to a point between the ears. Jaw line and underside of the head must be white.
Body : From the head, the colour runs back covering the ears and continues along the body extending down the sides

ENGLISH IRISH :
The English Irish rat has a white equilateral triangle on the chest. The triangle shall be of good size and clear cut. Four feet and tail tip are black. Generally, body is black.

MASKED :
The masked rat has a white body and a coloured "mask" covering just across the face and around the eyes.

STANDARD :
The ears set low at the top of the head.

DUMBO :
Others names : Japanese elephant eared, side eared
Description : The ears set low on the sides of the head, their base at the back of the cheeks wider and more open than a standard rat

Different colors of eyes :

BLACK :

RED :
The eyes are red or pink

RUBY :
The eyes are dark red and you can think that they are black. But if you look at them carefully, you will see the eyes are red.

ODD EYE :
Odd-eye rats have one eye pink and one eye dark ruby or black.

STANDARD :
The rat has a short, smooth and glossy hair. The coat shouldn't look unkempt, ragged or ruffled up.

REX :

DOUBLE REX :
Other names : patchwork, mock hairless
Description : The rat has patches of furred areas and bald areas. The patches may also 'wander' over the rat's life- hair growing in where there previously as none, and areas of fur going bald.

HAIRLESS :
Other name : sphinx
Description : complete absence of hair. The ears should appear larger then on a classic coated, classic body-typed rat.
Other information: Some hairless genes are known to cause problems in animals, weakening their immune system, or removing their whiskers. Other types have no side effects, these are usually bred. Some hairless females cannot feed their babies.
