WHAT IS RATIBUS ?
AN ASSOCIATION DEDICATED TO THE
RAT OF COMPANY
The "Association RATIBUS" was born thanks to the meeting of two rat lovers who helped each other in their shared passion. Suffering from the lack of reliable french informations relating to this animal they decided to create this association to propose activities to gather the french speaking rat lovers, to promote this pet, still ignored or hated in France because of the too frequent confusions between wild and domestic rat.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Our principal objectives are :
To offer a reliable information about domestic rat
To promot the rat as a regular pet
To protect domestic rats
To gather French-speaking rat lovers principaly from France, Belgium, Switzerland and Quebec (Canada)
To organise rat shows and competitions in France and Belgium
We cannot open a refuge for the moment
for financial reasons and lack of space, but we do
not forget the rats in difficult situations. Thus we want to set
up a system of placement for the young rats accidentally born in your
homes and for the adult rats which owners want to leave.
In the same way, we are actively looking for a
partnership with a refuge in order to be able to help the rats which cannot be adopted.
However our wish would be to reduce abandonments and bad treatments by clear and objective information.
